Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani sent a congratulatory message to Rebaz Hamlan on his appointment as Iraq's new Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works, wishing him success in his new role.

On October 18, 2026, President Barzani stated in his message: "I hope that in the next phase, the coordination and joint cooperation between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region will expand further."

He also emphasized that this cooperation should serve the country's supreme interests and become a source of stability, development, and progress for all of Iraq.
